Senior Network Engineer
Diggy Technology based in Capalaba currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated network engineer to help us employ and manage SMB networks as part of our managed services business.
Diggy currently has 5 offices located in Acacia Ridge, Aspley, Capalaba, Springwood and Woolloongabba with our Capalaba office supporting and implementing all Computer Networking and Hardware products and services within our group.
The primary function of this position is to provide high-level engineering support to our clients.
Requirements:
- MCP and Cisco CCNA certification
- Attention to detail and service oriented attitude - will do what it takes to get the job done correctly
- Is eager to learn new technologies and prefers knowing a broader range of technologies rather than being specialized in a few
- Ability to manage a job or project with minimum oversight
- Available for after hours or weekend project work, have a current driver's license
Your Skills & Experience:
- Solid knowledge and experience with Windows Server, SBS, Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
- Configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, and firewalls
- Design and setup TCP/IP networks including DNS, DHCP, and WINS
- Network management and monitoring
- Network Security
- IP Telephony
- Develop and implement network upgrades, including giving advice on equipment and technologies available
- Some scripting, programming and Linux systems experience an advantage.
- Experience using Kaseya or similar is also an advantage
The successful applicant should have three or more years experience and have effective written and oral communication skills.
